innoFSPEC @ Potsdam exhibition "Science in the centre"

On 19 January 2019, there was the opening of the exhibition "Science in the centre" - 130 m of science - at the annual light event in Potsdam. 20 large-format boards illustrate the diverse and exciting science landscape of Potsdam - among them a 2 x 6 m board designed by us, innoFSPEC Potsdam with the title "What happens in small molecules and large galaxies?".

The open air exhibition is located between Bildungsforum/Platz der Einheit and the state parliament and will last until at least end of August 2019. Have a look at the exhibition brochure here.

Best talk award for Nabarun Polley

Nabarun Award

How can the innoFSPEC core technology Photon Density Wave (PDW) Spectroscopy provide added value for inline monitoring? With his talk at the Photonics 2018 conference at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India, innoFSPEC fellow Dr. Nabarun Polley has recently won a best talk award. His talk had the title "Fibre optical Photon Density Wave spectroscopy for inline monitoring of highly concentrated biogenic liquid materials". Congratulations, Nabarun!

The International Conference on Fiber Optics and Photonics - PHOTONICS, is a premier conference in the emerging areas of Photonic science and technology. It provides a forum for interaction and exchange of ideas among scientists, engineers, researchers, and users actively engaged in the area of Photonics.

Cooperation with ILU e.V.

We are pleased to announce our cooperation with Institut für Lebensmittel- und Umweltforschung e.V. (ILU). With the help of a 115 photobioreactor, we are now able to focus on the targeted optimisation of biomass production. In this context, online sensor technology will be implemented to characterise the light distribution in the photobioreactor and to monitor growth processes.
